Thank you for your support of PRISM this past year. We could not have made as great of an impact on international students without your prayers and support.
Some recent highlights are:
- A Chinese student came to faith while spending time with her friendship partner.
- Studying Luke with a Buddhist student who is searching for truth and is moving closer to becoming a committed Christian.
- Laughing and talking about gratitude with volunteers and a group of Muslim women from different backgrounds and nationalities.
- Baking Christmas cookies with volunteers and two Japanese women from out Bible study group.
- Sharing Christmas dinner with an Indonesian theology student.
Some ways that you can get involved with International Student Ministry:
Prayers: Sign up for our weekly prayer update. Join us on Zoom for prayer at noon on Mondays.
Volunteer:
PRISM Connections - Be a Friendship Partner, Mentor, or Bible Learning Partner.
Host a PRISM Open House with a small group of 5-8.
Help to maintain the Hospitality House - cleaning, yardwork, etc.
Host a student in your home for a holiday.
Practice English with a student.
Provide childcare during the Garage Giveaway, Open House, or Women's Bible study
Donate your time and/or new and gently used furniture and household items the week of the annual Garage Giveaway
As you can see, you don't have to go overseas to be a missionary to people from other cultures. God has brought 12,000 of them to the universities and hospitals of Pittsburgh. Our staff cannot reach everyone, so we need volunteers like you. To volunteer please contact me at bernadette@prismpgh.org or sign up on our website, https//www.pghcommission.org.
May God richly bless you.
