Lost and Found Pharmacy and Soda Fountain

by John Sciullo

It is refreshing to go into a pharmacy and spend time in friendly conversation with the pharmacist who will explain all your medications. Now, many national chains will do this; but the Lost and Found pharmacists will sit down with you over coffee or many of the sweet treats on their menu to make certain there isn’t any conflict with the scripts they provide. Sean and Shannon Parsons have provided this type of care and fellowship for over 3 years now. As word continues to get out, they have found a niche in the Penn Hills community.

But Lost and Found Pharmacy is so much more. There are board game nights, entertainment (Chris Jenkins on September 7th), crafts, storytelling for the kids, Bible studies… The list goes on. Below are some key points about this amazing place.

 - It is a non-profit pharmacy with revenues going to help people in the Medicare gap.
 - The copays are often less than the insurance provider requires.
 - They accept virtually all insurances so patronizing them helps underwrite those who cannot afford their medication while you save money.
 - The soda fountain is a for profit entity and the profits support the pharmacy.

Here’s how you can help:

 - Pray without ceasing for Sean and Shannon.
 - Utilize the pharmacy for your prescriptions.
 - Volunteer your time. There are always projects to do or deliveries to make.
 - Consider financial support. Our congregation has been very generous; but maintenance issues such as roof leaks, HVAC, etc., can be very costly.
