An Update from the Pulpit Nominating Committee

by Geoff Gehring

The PNC continues to be active in the process of identifying God's will for Hebron’s Co-Pastor. Our Ministry Informational Form (MIF) generated an additional 9 candidates over the last month, bringing the total to 29.  The MIF will remain available on the Church Leadership Connection website at least until May 31st for additional candidates to apply.

The Pittsburgh Presbytery has assigned Frank Hancock as a liaison from the Commission on Ministry (COM) to provide additional support on navigating the process.  He has been faithfully serving in this capacity with the Presbytery for over 12 years.  He joined the PNC meeting on May 7th and has a deep appreciation of our congregation at Hebron, as his daughter Julia, a college student, is a Hebron member.

June 4th is the next anticipated meeting for the PNC.  Our plan is to identify a select list of candidates to start conducting additional analysis of the potential fit for Hebron and interviewing for the Co-Pastor role.  Your prayerful support for wisdom in this process continues to be appreciated by the seven of us on the committee.

The PNC remains open to your feedback and communication. Please feel free to contact me at GGehring4@yahoo.com or on my cell phone at  412-855-7600. Thank you for your prayers and support.
