Children's Ministry

 By: Ellen Dillard

Hebron Church is invited to pray for Kidz Ministry:

· For our 4th/5th Graders and Leaders who are headed to Pine Springs for their retreat, April 30—May 1. Please pray for walls to come down and for the Holy Spirit to move in their lives in mighty ways; pray for their relationship with Jesus to grow deeper; and friendships to strengthen. Please pray for God to give the leaders wisdom, energy and patience. We are excited to see how God answers these prayers!

· For Summer Extreme VBS—June 19-23. Would you please join the VBS Team in praying for the kidz who will attend, for the adults and teens who say “YES” to leading, and all of the details?

We’re “Making Waves” this summer! And your kidz and their friends are invited to join us as we explore how to “Make Waves” and change the world by showing them who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

 Dates: June 19-23

For: Rising Kindergarteners and K-5th graders (grade completed)

We kick off the week with families on Sunday, June 19, 6:30-8. We’ll worship, eat dessert, and play!

Pre-registration encouraged! Click here to pre-register.

Families filled the Barclay early in April for a morning of worship and fun. Together we sang praises and heard the resurrection story. Sugar and sprinkles were everywhere as families focused on decorating their cakes!  Congratulations to our winners: The Sanders, The Scotts, The Tomashewskis and The Morrows.

Special shout out to Stoecklein’s bakery for providing the cakes and icing!

What kidz are talking about in May…

Preschool:

Preschoolers will ask questions countless times as they get to know the world around them. It’s like they’re beginning a lifelong Scavenger Hunt. This is the perfect opportunity for us to not only tell them what they are looking for but Who made it as well. We want preschoolers to know that God made everything. We want them to think of God as they explore and get to know this wonderful, colorful world we live in. And even more, we want them to know that the same God who made everything made them and loves them.

*  Story Focus: On days three and four, God made the lands, plants, sea, sun, moon, and stars.

· Genesis 1:20-21

· Genesis 1:24-31

*  Story Focus: On day six, God made animals and people; and day seven He rested.

Memory Verse: “God saw everything He had made. And it was very good.” Genesis 1:31

Elementary:

God is strong and faithful, always working in our lives. No matter what happened, Jesus relied on God to help Him accomplish the mission set before him. When we put our trust in Jesus, we learn that God is always with us and He gives us what we need to carry out His plan for our lives.
