East Liberty Family Heath Care Center’s mission is “to witness to God’s love, known in Jesus Christ, by empowering our patients through community centered, whole-person quality health care for all, which includes those who are uninsured, underinsured, and underserved.” Their core values are: Christ-centeredness, Prayer, Responsibility, Family, Service, and Wholeness.
I spent a couple of hours on their website in the last month reading about all the things they are doing and how God continues to provide for them as they work out their mission statement and core values. I would highly recommend you check it out.
One interesting thing I discovered is that ELFHCC is a free COVID-19 testing site with self-test kits being provided by Allegheny County Health Department. Information on registering for a free COVID-19 self-test is available on their website at https://www.elfhcc.com.
In 2019, rather than simply offer monthly support to help offset operating costs, Hebron’s Mobilization Team determined to invest $2,000 this year to be used by the staff to give Bibles and other biblical literature to patients who are interested.
On our website at hebrononline.org/about-us/missions you will find a short paragraph about ELFHCC and of all the mission agencies we support, as well as a link to their website. In my opinion, it makes for some good reading and it’s a means to know about each of our mission agencies. It also gives you an opportunity to sign up to have their newsletters sent to your email. It’s worth it.
