Val Shaver and Steff Knabe are small group leaders for 2nd graders at Kidz Club. When Val was asked “How was your night?” She responded….
….I did have such a good time playing with the kids but I ended up writing them a letter this morning about how much of an impact they are making on my life.
They are teaching me soooo much. God reminded me this morning when I was praying about Kidz Club kids and, yes, I had fun, but then the realization that I was more focused on that game than the kids! I didn't tend to Kid A, who was sad his mom was away on a trip…. I had this moment of clarity as I recalled Kid B taking the ball and letting one of the kids on the other team catch it so those down could get up and make the game more fair. Kid C reminded me to pray for Kid D. Kid E prayed before dinner so beautifully about asking God to remember how we are special. These kids get me every time!! Thanks for letting me share that. I get overwhelmed sometimes at how much grace God extends to me!
