Fostering A Healthier Community

 By: H.C.C. (Hebron Community Center

We exist to be a ministry of care and service to our community. While it may seem like all we have going on is a few exercise classes and Open Gyms (basketball, volleyball, and indoor soccer) there is TRULY a lot more going on. We are building relationships, holding out the Word, and partnering with the community to help identify and address needs. Jen Balkey (Executive Director) is regularly meeting with other groups, organizations, and individuals in the community to help accomplish these goals. If you are curious how to get involved or want to see more about us, check out the “About Us” page on our website: https://hebroncc.org/about.

March 18th we are very excited to be partnering with the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority - Gamma Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter to host a community Health Symposium!! This FREE event will run from 10 AM-1 PM on Saturday the 18th. There will be professionals onsite to do free biometric screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) and vaccines. There will be a variety of speakers to share their expertise on a variety of health topics such as mental health, diabetes, heart health, sleep & relaxation, spiritual health, and Narcan. During the Health Symposium we will also have a variety of representatives from the community present with tables of information regarding various health resources. Additionally, there will be trainers from Penn Hills EMS to do a CPR/first aid training class. The training itself is FREE of cost. If an individual requires a certain type of credentialing from the class, that may incur a fee. If interested in attending the CPR training 10:30 AM-1:30 PM, please contact Jen Balkey (412-212-8285) as registration is required for the limited number of spaces available.

If you are interested in getting involved or supporting the Hebron Community Center (HCC) we welcome your support, finances, participation, and prayers.
