Letter of thanks to Dan Weightman from the Brice family in Nassau
“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation, to you, your church family and Bahamas Youth Network (BYN), for the assistance and support shown towards us following the devastation of Hurricane Matthew. As you are aware, our home was extensively damaged to the point where we have had to re-locate temporarily while we repair and renovate. We lost just about everything, except our faith.

“Our son, Kameron, is a part of BYN and we are thankful to God, that through his connection with BYN we were able to receive a much needed blessing….through the grace of God we have been blessed through your organization’s act of kindness.”

NOTE:  Hebron sent $2,391.15 to the BYN Hurricane Relief Fund.

Update on National Staff Development Proposal
In 2015 the CYN Board approved the development of a full-time National Staff mission worker in the Bahamas. After much prayer and fundraising, Jude Vilma has been hired to fill this position in Nassau.
Some of you met Jude when he spoke at the 2015 Fundraising Banquet and the February Meet and Greet. He has served as a BYN intern on Long Island, participated in Leadership Development, and was a recipient of the Milagros Scholarship while attending the College of Bahamas.  After graduation Jude began his teaching career on Eleuthera.  Jude has also served for the past four summers at Camp Bahamas, one of CYN's partners, as a counselor. We are so excited to welcome Jude as a staff person and look forward to what God has planned for the future in the Bahamas.
